In 2004, an office worker could sit with a single task for roughly two and a half minutes before glancing away. Today, that same worker lasts an average of 47 seconds before switching his or her attention, according to a 2023 University of California study that documented over two decades of workplace observation. The arrest drew demonstrators to the Dutch Embassy in Cairo on Monday, where they called for answers about his detention and for his release. On the embassy’s security, Abdelatty cited the Netherlands’ obligations under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which requires host countries to protect foreign missions, and urged theContinue reading "Egypt Calls for Release of Egyptian Arrested in the Netherlands"
